Permitted research use

Astra Labs products are offered only for lawful laboratory, analytical and scientific research purposes.

Products should be purchased and handled only by adults who have the knowledge, facilities, equipment and training appropriate to the substances involved and the proposed research activity.

Permitted activities may include:

• analytical testing and verification;
• laboratory method development;
• chemical or biochemical research;
• in vitro laboratory research;
• reference-standard comparison; and
• other lawful non-clinical research activities.

Nothing published by Astra Labs constitutes medical, pharmaceutical, veterinary, diagnostic or therapeutic advice.

Astra Labs does not provide guidance relating to:

• interactions, side effects or contraindications;

Handling, storage and disposal

The purchaser is responsible for assessing the hazards associated with each product and implementing suitable procedures for storage, handling, testing and disposal.

This may include:

• appropriate laboratory facilities and controlled access;
• suitable personal protective equipment;
• documented handling and contamination-control procedures;
• secure storage away from children and unauthorised persons;
• temperature and environmental controls where appropriate;
• accurate sample and batch identification; and
• disposal in accordance with applicable regulations.

Astra Labs cannot control how products are stored, handled, altered or used after delivery.

Product information and Certificates of Analysis

Product descriptions, quantities, images and scientific information are provided to identify and describe products supplied for research.

A Certificate of Analysis applies only to the sample or batch identified within that certificate. Customers should compare the batch reference on their product with the relevant certificate.

Analytical results do not convert a research product into a licensed medicine, medical device, supplement, cosmetic or product approved for human use.

Product images are illustrative. Packaging, label layout and vial appearance may change while the essential product description remains the same.

No guarantee of research outcomes

Astra Labs does not guarantee that a product will produce a particular experimental, analytical or research result.

Research outcomes may be affected by factors including:

• experimental design and methodology;
• storage and handling after delivery;
• equipment condition and calibration;
• sample preparation and contamination;
• reagents and materials supplied by third parties; and
• the competence and decisions of the researcher.

A result that differs from the purchaser’s expectation does not by itself demonstrate that a product is faulty or incorrectly described.

Legal and regulatory compliance

The purchaser is responsible for ensuring that purchasing, possessing, importing, storing and using a product is lawful in their jurisdiction.

Products must not be used in any activity requiring regulatory, ethical, clinical or institutional approval unless all necessary approvals have first been obtained.

Astra Labs does not represent that every product is suitable or lawful for every type of research, organisation or jurisdiction.

Astra Labs does not authorise, encourage or endorse any use that is inconsistent with this disclaimer.

Subject to applicable law, Astra Labs is not responsible for loss or damage caused by:

• human or veterinary administration;
• use for any medical, therapeutic or diagnostic purpose;
• incorrect storage, handling, preparation or disposal;
• alteration, contamination or misuse after delivery;
• failure to obtain required approvals or licences;
• use by an untrained or unauthorised person; or
• use contrary to this disclaimer or applicable law.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods.

Refusal or cancellation of orders

Astra Labs may refuse, suspend or cancel an order where there are reasonable concerns regarding:

• potential human or veterinary use;
• requests for dosage or administration advice;
• fraudulent, unlawful or misleading activity;
• age or identity verification;
• resale for an unauthorised purpose;
• payment or delivery irregularities; or
• a breach of this disclaimer or our Terms and Conditions.

Where a cancelled order has already been paid, the appropriate refund will normally be returned using the original payment method.

Consumer and statutory rights

This disclaimer governs the permitted use of Astra Labs products. It does not remove legal rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Customers should contact support if an item arrives damaged, incorrect, faulty or materially different from its description.
